The standard form for responding to the current consultation by Cheshire West and Chester Council to their draft Local Transport Plan 3 (LTP3) provides limited opportunity to comment on details of the plan. Therefore a group of Chester Cycling Campaign members has worked hard to prepare a detailed and considered response to the plan, focussing primarily on cycling related matters.
The response was submitted to the council on 22 December 2010, and the Campaign has asked to meet with staff in the Highways and Transportation Service to explain the comments and the rationale behind them.
LTP3 is of considerable importance as it covers the period from 2011 to 2026. So the consultation provides a unique opportunity to influence the direction of transport planning for the next fifteen years.
